I'm not sure what you're asking here.  EWB doesn't really factor into this type of architecture very much because it's a client-side, browser application.  Are you talking about using an ORM with an EWB Web Server Module ?

Yes I was just asking if anyone had used these tools for the server side.  They have XData can be used
to easily setup a web server application.

Haven't used myself though we did look at their tools (business
subscription).

Main issue with XData (from my limited knowledge) is that it has its own
JSON format (which is not same as EWBs).

of consuming their data in a javascript applications).

Does it work without any extra work with EWB TDataSet - no.

If you decide to use it then i would suggest modifying their back-end to
return and handle EWB JSON format. It should be (i hope) possible to
override the XData json output with your implementation.

It doesn't look like the JSON output can be modified to suit, just wondered if anyone else has got it right.
I already own a licence but have not used it much.

You might be the first - EWB JSON is very straightforward
(http://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=viewtopic&id=ewb2&topic=JSON_Reference)
so adding this should not be too hard.
