Jan Ferguson Data Software Solutions, Inc. ![]() | I have it running on one. Make sure you change the html file name to
one your shared hosting server will recognize. Most are either default.html or index.html. -- Jan Michael Riley wrote: > Does anyone have Web Builder running on a shared hosting server? if > so, How did you get it working? |

Matthew Jones | > have Web Builder running on a shared hosting server
To be clear, you mean with the Web Builder server portion? The applications you write are run in the browser and can be delivered from any normal web server. Only if they need to talk back to some service do you need to have something special on the server, and that could be the Elevate server portion, or could be something like an ASP.NET or PHP REST service. /Matthew Jones/ |

Alan Questell Richmond Community College | The student advising system I wrote about here, http://www.elevatesoft.com/forums?action=view&category=ewb&id=ewb_general&msg=9696&page=3, runs on Amazon Web Services (https://aws.amazon.com/).
So far, I'm using just their free tier and haven't paid anything yet. Michael Riley wrote: Does anyone have Web Builder running on a shared hosting server? if so, How did you get it working? Michael Riley GySgt USMC (Ret) www.zilchworks.com |

Walter Matte Tactical Business Corporation | TD,
Setting up was straight forward. I created an account with 1 and 1, then simply selected the VPS (Virtual Private Server) plan I wanted and purchased it. Within a short time I got an email to log in to 1 and 1 account - pressed one button to image the vps. A few minutes later, I RDP connected and server was up. I choose a Windows based server with Plesk Panel Control. Walter |

Walter Matte Tactical Business Corporation | I have been using 1and1 for quite a while. I am happy with them. I have IIS and my own WebServer (like EWB server) I wrote with RealThinClient components, IIS is using port 80 - I assign my webserver to another port.
