I wish to change the settings of showmessage

eg showmessage('mytext')

1. How to to change the height and width of box,  as well as the font size of the display.

I have had a quick look at the open interface option . is that the place to change it ?

if so then which item do I select ?

2. Once changed will it only apply to the current project or will it stay for all future projects.

3. Will the settings change back to defaults after a new load / update of  ewb ide

I suspect it will be the tmessagedialogclient.wbi

You are best off taking a complete copy of the interfaces from the
usual place, and putting them in a project (or similar) directory. Add
that directory to the project settings, and it will then pick up the
customisations from there. Depending on what you want, you could have a
common custom one for all projects, or client specific, etc.

If you have a custom directory, then they will stay the same. If there
are new settings, you may need to copy over from the master, and merge,
in some way, the new with your custom. There is no easy solution for
this yet - it is a hard one to tackle.

You can't change those values - they are dynamically calculated in order to fit the message properly in the dialog.
