Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | The 2.03 minor release (previously 2.02 B5) has now been released:
http://www.elevatesoft.com/blog?action=view&id=elevate_web_builder_203_released What I'm working on now for upcoming releases: 1) Porting the EWB interpreter used internally in the design-time environment to the EWB Web Server as a general-purpose scripting environment. 2) Revamping the existing database/dataset design so that database models can be imported from the EWB Web Server and will have their own component surface (analogous to a form, but specific to databases) in each project. 3) Replacing IE in the IDE browser with Chrome, adding the client-side debugger to the IDE, and adding output views to the run environment for seeing your application running in various configurations and orientations. 4) Haven't started on this yet, but I'm still committed to getting a PHP database/datasets framework done that uses the PDO functionality for data access. 5) More minor improvements and new controls. Slider, treeview, menu bar, time edits, drag/drop, etc. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I realise it may require a rebuild when you switch projects, but I shall be doing a variety of customised UI look and feel according to the customer, and automatically switching so that I can automate building this would be very good. -- Matthew Jones |

It seems to work very well (something I wanted too). It's documented in the release notes and I've used it successfully. I assume that's what you mean, sorry if I've misunderstood. -- Rick |

<< Does this mean that Chrome will need to be installed in order for the EWB IDE to function? >> No, everything that the IDE will need will be installed automatically with the IDE. However, yes, that means that there will be some extra DLLs installed along with the IDE. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Chris Holland SEC Solutions Ltd. Team Elevate | I appear to be having a problem adding a check box to a toolbar in
the latest version, is this something that has changed? -- Chris Holland Tim Young [Elevate Software] <timyoung@elevatesoft.com> Wrote in message: > The 2.03 minor release (previously 2.02 B5) has now been released: > > http://www.elevatesoft.com/blog?action=view&id=elevate_web_builder_203_released ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Chris,
<< I appear to be having a problem adding a check box to a toolbar in the latest version, is this something that has changed? >> Yes, sorry about that: doing something like that can cause issues with the toolbar because it assumes that its children are all TToolButton instances. Previously this was allowed, but I added some additional code to prevent this after a few instances of customers dropping panels into grids by accident. I would suggest separating the check boxes out onto another panel that is laid out to the right or left of the toolbar. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
