|No Event Stub Created|
|Sun, Oct 4 2015 5:31 AM||Permanent Link|
Usually when I double click an event in the properties window for a control it creates a definition in the form class and an implementation stub for that event.
Several times now I have done this with the server request OnComplete event and it's just created the definition and not the implementation stub.
It works more often than not, but definitely not every time. The latest was a new form with a handful of other controls on it. The SR widget was new (there had been no other one on the form previously), and it steadfastly refuses to create the implementation stub. There are no other implementation routines on that form yet either. This would have been the first.
Hardly a show stopper, but worthy of a mention.

Got to the bottom of it.
I had misspelled a procedure as "pricedure" in the unit (just a nothing, test function, not a method of the form class but makes a liar of me when I said there were no other functions in the unit) and the presence of this stopped the IDE from creating the stub.
I can only assume that must have been the case all those other times as well.

I have seen this behaviour a few times as well and each time it
was because I had made an error in the codeearlier in the
Fixing my error always made it start working correctly again.
