Please report back on the results.  However, also please note that 2.02 will have improved grid navigation performance (that's what you're seeing with the transactions example that I linked to), but that's not dependent upon the number of rows, rather just how efficient the grid is at populating cells as you navigate the rows, so it won't affect the load time other than a little bit.
