Hi Tim,

1. the cursor staying at the current indentation (tab) level. When you're 4 or 5 deep and you have to tab all the way in again for each line ....

2. pressing the left cursor arrow key from the beginning of a line taking you to the end of the previous line. I was surprised how often I do this.

3. searching for "reader" or Reader in the IDE help should offer you "TReader". Obviously just one example to explain the desired principle. If you don't get it exactly right it comes up with no results.

4. did I mention a keypress for deploy before Smile? (or icing of definable F keys...)

cheers,

Both noted, already on the list.

Are you referring to searching from the help window itself, using the index ?  Or in the code editor ?

The code editor improvements coming in 2.5 will include mappable keystrokes.

Good stuff!

Re help - it's in the built in help in the IDE, using the "look for" feature in the index.
Look, it's hardly a killer, but if I can't remember the precise thing I'm looking for then a more fuzzy search would be welcomed instead of no results at all.

(oh, and "goto definition" for funcs/procs/vars would be very useful as my project starts to span many units, as would a tooltip on hovering over same, showing where appropriate type/return type, etc.)

Finally, the moon on a stick, maybe?

Excellent!  Would the equivalent of Delphi's "Persistent Blocks" be asking too much? Smile

Probably not, but I don't have every feature scoped out yet, so some may have to wait for a subsequent release.  The main areas that will be covered in 2.5 are:

- Find declaration functionality
- Intellisense
- Code completion
- Support for the display/editing of double-wide Unicode characters (East Asia)
- Code structure view
- Better undo/re-do support for IDE-automated code modifications
