Leslie | I should have read more carefully.
Thanks for pointing this out. Congratulations - looking forward to the time to revamp my application and make full advantage from the new facilities. The preview has shown it has a lot of new power. -- Matthew Jones |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Doc,
<< So I would say that EWB2 trial is not really compatible with Windows XP. >> I've updated the docs and the web site to reflect the fact that it isn't actually compatible with Windows XP, but rather requires Vista or higher due to the IE9+ requirement. Trinione | << It seems IE8 is the highest version available for XP so I wanted to use an other browser but the local EWB >>
** Elevate Web Builder 2 requires Internet Explorer 9 or higher for proper operation of the embedded web browser in the IDE. This is a basic requirement for EWB2, IE 9 or higher as it requires certain browser features not available in the lower versions, including IE8. Check the settings of your localhost. Do you run WAMP or some other web server on port 80? Check and see what port the EWB Web Server is running on and if it is in fact started and running. http://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=topics&id=ewb2§ion=using_the_web_server |

Congrats on the EWB2 release. Build 2 indeed fixes the install destination issue but it still wants to use "Elevate Web Builder" as the default start menu folder which may interfere with EWB1. I just added a 2 on the end during install so no problem but may be worth looking at. -- Rick |

Doc | With the new version 2.0b2 that installs together with EWB1 I tried a new clean install.
I choosed a different directory to the orignal installation and ran into the following problem: On IDE start I get the error: Unexpected error encountered while building the component library Cannot open file {OldPath}\WebLabels.wbs I didn't find an ini file or a registry entry referring to {OldPath}. The only solution at the moment is to use the {OldPath} again. Anny suggestions? |
