Thread Password managers

Feedback from my initial testers on a web shop I'm working on have commented that
their browser based password managers don't work. I have actually implemented a
save in local storage but it would be good to know if it is possible to have them
work. Anyone know what they depend on? I sort of assume it needs a form submission
or something. Is this something that can be faked, or done some other way?

Which password manager(s) are they using ?  I would guess that it depends
upon the password manager as to how you would interact with it.

IE, Chrome, 1Password, they all don't do anything for me. Normally they pop up
asking to save the password when I click the "submit" button.

You're not using an actual submittal button with EWB, but rather doing an
internal submit call, so that would be my guess as to the "why".
