Does not work like this though - 1.03 and v2 would be very different
beasts (type of changes) so even skipping 1.03 would not speed up v2 at
this point. I would assume 1.03 very soon now and then it would be the
stable version for a while.

Indeed - Tim has indicated that 1.03 has a load of minor updates, and then
the v2 will bring some big changes to open it all up. Tim said that EWB was
after the EDB update, but there was another one of those, so not long I
guess. The good thing is that 1.02 is quite solid and usable. Minor things
are fixable by hacking the framework, and I'm not aware of any
show-stoppers, so 1.03 is not urgent. Of course I'd like to see it all
progress much faster - I wish there was a way to help Tim get more
resources, and more publicity.

EWB in Jan (since EDB build and web server move are done).

I don't recall him giving a date of end of Jan though (might have missed
it though).

I heard it from Tims daughter.  An estimated date.  May have changed now.

"continued development of this product" is the only feature I'd like to see implemented.

I'd also like to grow horns like an antelope.

One of these things is much more likely to happen than the other.

I'm currently cutting holes in all of my hats....
