If there was one thing you'd really like in EWB, that would make it really better
for you, what would it be? As a user, the thing I want is better navigation, but
the one thing that would have a big impact is being able to search for the current
selection.

At the moment, I find I often find I want to go to the location of a function or
reference, so I need to search for it. The easiest way is to copy the selection to
the clipboard with Ctrl-C, then Ctrl-F for find, then Ctrl-V to paste it. I then
have to move to the top, and search. Now, this works, but it would be so much
better without the copy so that I can use the clipboard for better things.

I also often type "ddd;" in my code, as that causes a compile fail, and allows me
to jump back to where I was. 8-)

Anyway, I'd be interested to know what others think, perhaps we can give Tim some
suggestions on how to make EWB much better beyond the big features.

Dare I say...code completion?

That being said, I wouldn't wish that monster of a task on my worst enemy.

Well, I too would love that, but as you say it would be a big task. I was sort of
thinking of small things, but I have to say that I'd forgo my wish for code
completion. 8-)

Lol, that comment was made half tongue-in-cheek.  It'd be nice but I
have much more realistic expectations.

I honestly think that if I had one suggestion it would be for less
limited styling options.  The theme editor is great, but creating a new
theme (from scratch at least) is a heavy task to surmount.  I've had
some success altering existing themes, however.

This would actually be a great first avenue for us users to begin
contributing the community by creating some custom themes and sharing
them as a few folks have done already.  Then again, I think I speak for
us all when I say, "If only there were more hours in the day..."

Code completion would be number 1 on my list.  A drop down calendar component, a navigation bar component for moving between pages in an application (like on a website), and a tab control would be on my wish list too.  I agree that an easier way to create themes would be great.

Yes indeed. I don't like to touch the mouse. The following keyboard
short cut I miss most:

Ctrl-F4: To close one Tab
Ctrl-Shift-C:  for class completion
Ctrl-Shift-UP / Ctrl-Shift-DOWN: to navigate between definition and
implementation. I think, this one comes from GExperts.
Ctrl-F12: Works, but I would like to see the library units and
incremental search for unit name.
Ctrl-T: Should delete like in Delphi, only after the cursor, not
before the cursor.
Ctrl-Left / Ctrl-Right: Doesn't stop at line ends (like Delphi)

After installing version build 2 I get the error: Illegal argument at Line
1. Even if I comment out all my code it still exists. If I install build 1
there is no error.

Shame on me. I just installed the new build and only these are not
done yet:

Btw: Great work the new build. Thanks Tim!

Funny, but the Ctrl-Left non-standard behaviour would be good to fix. It always
seems to go one "word" too far initially. My muscle memory is used to doing
Ctrl-Left and immediately Ctrl-Right...

I would suggest that a new post would be better than a comment, but I've had no
issues. Have a look down the change history to see if any relate to your use. It
sounds to me like either you have some code that is interpreted differently - I
find even a missing semi-colon can cause an "major" error sometimes - but also that
events are correct. An incorrect event, like it doesn't exist, usually triggers
this line 1 error.
