Peter

Hello,

[see subject]

If i doubleclick a EWB-Project and its configuration-file contains one
or more invalid paths, the GUI doesn't appear (looking into the
task-manager, i see the EWB-Task).

I'm not seeing this here.  Is it possible that any of the invalid paths were
pointing to network resources or other drives that might be subject to
connection wait times ?

I had the same problem. After deleting the .ini file the problem was
gone. No network resources on that computer.

I'll try to find the deleted .ini-file and have a look what's wrong with it.

Tim,

in my case I was able to find the culprit here:

[Window_MainForm]
Window State=1
Window Top=36
Window Left=208
Window Height=1000
Window Width=1600

Changing either "Window State" to 0 or "Window Height" <> 1000 helps.

I guess 0 means minimized. Maybe EWB doesn't like the combination of
(Minimized) and (Height = 1000) Smiley

Correction:

I guess 1 means minimized. Maybe EWB...

same here. After restoring the deleted .ini, EWB will not start
properly. After setting Window State to 0, everything works as
expected.

Thank you your investigation, Uli. Smile
