Access Denied Error. |

Steve Gill | I created a simple DBISAM table and opened it in EWB using the DataSet Manager. I can preview the data fine.
I dragged the table from the DataSet Manager onto the form to create the TDataset component. I then hooked this up to a TGrid. When I use Database.Load to load the rows, I get the following error: 'Error executing request "datasets/TestData" (Access is denied). Line 2592'. Anyone else experience this error? |

I got the same error when I tried to run the CD Collector sample in IE. |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Steve,
<< When I use Database.Load to load the rows, I get the following error: 'Error executing request "datasets/TestData" (Access is denied). Line 2592'. >> Make sure that the local web server is running (server icon with a + sign next to it on the main toolbar). Applications that use datasets cannot be run from the local file system for two reasons: 1) Datasets require the local web server to be running, since that is what serves up the datasets as JSON. 2) Even if you had the local web server running in the IDE, the datasets are coming from a different source than the local file system so you'll get an "access denied" error due to the same-source security restriction in modern web browsers that prevent access to URLs that are not within the domain from which the application was loaded. If you have any other questions, please let me know. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

I'd forgotten about this. |
