I use the modelling tool "Dezign" by Datanamic to model my databases.

As of Version 6 they stopped supporting EDB out of the box.

I had to upgrade to Version 7 to support another project ... so I have rewritten the "definition" files used by Dezign 7 so it will also allow users to create EDB databases.

It wasn't a big job, but I thought I would put them up here to allow users to have a really good modelling tool to use for EDB if they want. (I know there are other modelling tools out there, but only a few support EDB & I think Dezign is perhaps the best).

I was also using Datanamic Dezign and hit that road block.

Rick van Dijk responded recently with:

"Thank you for your e-mail. You are not the only one complaining about missing elevatedb support. We will take a look at it again and placed in on our go do list. It should not be to difficult to support elevatedb support. You can do it yourself also. All you gave got to do is to create a new definition file, elevatedb2.def, based on oracle for example. Edit the data types in the elevatedb2.typ file. Then you have the basic functionality to import a elevatedb sql file and to export an elevatedb sql file (with create table statements etc)."

Right now I'm using TMS's Data Modeler, although it's not as robust.

Wagner is now supporting EDB in Aurelius 1.3.  Woot!
