<< Could anyone explain how to set Server database which is located on another PC in shared folder? Database is on shared folder at g:\database\ while I am trying to set this path server return 11293 error. >> You have to make sure that the server machine can access the database via that mapped drive. If it can't, then you'll get an error. How are you defining the path for the database ? Via the Server Administration Utility ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tomas | <<Good. Make sure that the database path is accessible from the server
machine and you'll be all set.>> Path is accessible from windows RUN utility, if I put path in it and press ok, shared folder opened succesfully. If I set the same path in DBISAM server as database folder I get error. Maybe somethign wrong with permission, maybe I need to set some kind permission somewhere? Regards, Tomas |

<< Maybe somethign wrong with permission, maybe I need to set some kind permission somewhere? >> Is the database server running as a service ? If so, then you need to change the user account that the service runs under so that it can access network drives. By default, the local System account used for services cannot access network drives. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< Hello , i have changed the settings in the service to the network administrator account but result is the same. Any idea why this does not work? >> Did you restart the service afterwards ? The only other reason why this would not work would be if the administrator account that you're using doesn't have the proper rights for that directory. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
