Jose Eduardo Helminsky HPro Informatica | I am using a little modified version of dbsrvr project (with FastMM4).
The server is running on a dual quad machine. Should I replace fastmm with scalemm2 ? Is there anyone here using scalemm ? Tks for any comments. Eduardo |

<< The server is running on a dual quad machine. Should I replace fastmm with scalemm2 ? >> I've been thinking of testing the servers with ScaleMM. The key is making sure that the code doesn't use shared memory very often, otherwise ScaleMM will suffer in terms of performance. Both DBISAM and ElevateDB tend to keep memory separated by session for the most part, but there are areas where shared memory is used. If you do anything like that, however, I would make sure to test it thoroughly with your application usage patterns. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
