Thread Customising the server

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at customising the DBISam 4 server with a couple of procedures,
such as checking disk space, and sending backups from the server to the
client so they can save locally.

My main concern in doing this is DBISam updates. When DBISam has another
minor update, do I have to re-script my entire server again, or are the
files that are normally updated non-server specific so a simple rebuild will
suffice?

Cheers

Adam.

All of the Server functionality is built into the component so feel free to
customize the program's code.

Here is what I have done with it

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply, and just what I wanted to hear. Smile

BTW - Like your design work. Very neat!

Have a great weekend.

I dont think you can re-do the server and claim it as your own ?
I maybe wrong I thought you could re-work it and keep it as

No, we permit re-branding of the server, and actually encourage it if it
will help sell the end product more easily.

Not as a competitor to us, no.  For example, you can't just re-brand it and
sell it as the "Joe Smith Database Engine", but you can re-brand it and
include it as the database server part of the "Joe Smith Accounting System".
