application that directly accesses the DBISAM databases ? } i want to use the DBISAM Database Server. let me explain my project i want to make a centerlize database, data will be inputs remotly from multiple locations via dialup or DSL what do you recommend? should i install a Server with static IP address? or buy a domain hosting etc. upload the database their i don't know much aobut hosting, domain etc. thank you. |

You'll also need to make sure that ports 12005 and 12006 are open on the server machine's firewall. You can ignore 12006 if you don't want remote administrative access to the DBISAM Database Server. If using a router, you'll need to use port forwarding to forward all requests for port 12005 and 12006 to the server machine's internal IP address. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
