Single entry bookkeeping |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I'm now treasurer for Lybster Community Association. Tichy little organisation - few dozen transactions a year. I hate using spreadsheets for accounts. I can do it as all that's needed is a simple single entry system (my QuickBooks would blow their minds) but I hate it.
Before I start writing my own, or decide on a bit of paper, does anyone have code they'd like to donate? Roy Lambert |

No code but what about one of the online accounting apps - for such small volumes free version likely more than adequate and less work Quick google for exmaple found something like this (no personal experience though) : https://www.waveapps.com/accounting/ Raul |

Thank for the suggestion. I've looked at a lot of the free, or low price stuff out there (I have c10 downloaded). Almost all of it is double entry. I have no problem with that since I did that for the time I was running my own business, but this lot would just freak out over it. The last guy who was treasurer used Excel and he had some screwed up formulas in there (see that so often which is the main reason for my hatred of it). Currently I'm struggling trying to get them to look at Google calendar for hall bookings so that several people can take bookings but they like their book! Also being fair the number of bookings is so low a single A4 sheet would do for the year. I want to get things into a state where I can pass it on to the next sucker without them having to wade through several spreadsheets / boxes of invoices, receipts etc which I had to do. Roy Lambert |
