I can log into codegear site though. So in OE newsreader if I enter the same name and password I use on the Codegear site why will it not work ? Rita |

Server: forums.codegear.com Check "This server requires me to log on" Enter your community User Name Enter your community PW Do NOT check "Log on using secure password authentication" (there seems to be a difference between "authentication" and "secure authentication," so just don't check that last box) Don't ask. -- |

For the MS Outlook Express junks (Assuming you have no rights to access the private groups) Settings: Server Require me to log in - Checked Account: Your CDN login name Password: Your CDN login password Log on using Secure Password Auth. - Unchecked! Advanced Server requires SSL - Unchecked! Further notes: 1) Make sure your CDN login name does not contain spaces! 2) To be able to read the CG groups you don't need this "Require me to log in", that's only needed for posting. To check your CDN account: http://members.codegear.com/ -- Pieter |
