Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | Several times now my EDBSettings have been wiped on my Vista machine. Anyone else having this joy?

David Dienhart | Hello Roy,
I had a similar issue with vnc where Vista continually deleted my settings. I ended up disabling Windows Defender Automatic Scanning from the Security Center, which ultimately did the trick. Hope this helps. Best Regards, David Roy Lambert wrote: > Several times now my EDBSettings have been wiped on my Vista machine. Anyone else having this joy? > > Roy Lambert |

Lance Rasmussen Jazzie Software Team Elevate | Roy,
Was this specific to just the Manager or to the server preferences as well? I'll be able to test on 64bit and 32bit Vista. I'm operating in fileserver mode so I have no idea about server preferences, but its the second time (at least) that EDBManager has returned to its virgin state. Roy Lambert |

"Raul" | Couple of suggestions: It seems to run OK here but there are some settings that don't seem to stick for me (font size on Editor tab specifically). In my case the EDBManager drops the INI file into : "C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Elevate Software\ElevateDB Manager" folder. hence the settings are user specific. I guess you could make a backup of the INI file once you customizations are done as a quick way to recover them.
