Checking Disk Space |

"Adam H." | Hi,
I was just wondering if there was a DBISam function / call that would check the available disk space on a server (when running client/server based). Just ran into a problem with a client where they ran out of disk space, and I would like to implement an early warning system if possible via my app. Cheers Adam. |

"Raul" | I'm not aware of any built-in function to do this but you can customize the
engine to provide such functionality (assuming you have source code license) - it should be fairly easy to do. See Customizing the Engine section of the manual for more detail. Your client application would still need to run the custom server procesdure for example that does this and present to user the results if space if critical. Or you can of course do this completely outside dbisam as - either using a montioring utility or even and basic scheduled batch job that emails you if free space drops below certain threshold (there are plenty of free utlities/tools to accomplish this).
