Can you post your sample project into the binaries so I can have a look, and make sure I'm seeing exactly what you are. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

"Adam H." | Hi Roy,
> Can you post your sample project into the binaries so I can have a look, > and make sure I'm seeing exactly what you are. Done and uploaded. Just click on the button (or view the button's events) to see what's going on. (You may need to change the path of the database directory first) Thanks for your help! Adam. |

>The grids I were using in my test sample were TcxGrids. When I drop back to >TDBGrids it behaves as I would expect! Just ignore my post in the binaries. What control are/were you using to do the cancel - a TDBNavigator or what? Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

Doesn't really matter. TDBNavigator, or even just a TButton with ParentTable.cancel - have the same problem regardless. The only 'common' thing that I find that causes the problems is if I use cx controls. I've submitted a question through to Devexpress yesterday. Got 2 responses. (One saying request received, and antoher saying reviewed), but no replies yet. Normally I receive a reply very quickly after a review, so I'm thinking this one might be a tricky one. Will keep you posted. Cheers Adam. |

The reason I asked was that a TDBNavigator has a BeforeAction event and I thought that if you used that to cancel the detail table you might catch it before whatever the DevEx grid is doing gets done. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |
