With the following two lines I am getting an access violation, every
alternate time I run the code. DBISAMTable1.Filter := 'Initials LIKE ''zz\%zz'' ESCAPE ''\'''; DBISAMTable1.FindFirst; 4.22 Build 6, Delphi 5 Pro. --Bill Sparrow--

<< With the following two lines I am getting an access violation, every alternate time I run the code. >> It seems to be the ESCAPE causing the problem. I'll make sure a fix for this is in the next build. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

No problem. It's a pretty obscure situation which only came up because my
filter generation code lets the user specify a wildcard match and then escape the wildcard so that there isn't actually a wildcard. --Bill Sparrow--
