"Ronald van der Pas" | Hi,
I just upgraded form 3.26 to 3.30. I get the error: Cannot load package 'db330d7r.' It contains unit 'DBISAMPw,' which is also contained in package 'db326d7r' If I try to open, compile and install 'db330d7d.dpk' then I get the same error. What is going wrong? Thanks, Ronald van der Pas |

"Scott Martin" | Sounds like you have another package that is using db326d7r.
Do you have any other 3rdparty libs that include DBISAM? You will have to open that dpk and replace it with db330d7r Scott. Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Ronald,

It sounds like the 3.26 package didn't get removed. Either that, or what AJ said - there's another package loaded that is using the 3.26 runtime package. Did you make sure to close down Delphi when you uninstalled 3.26 and installed 3.30 ? If you don't, then the uninstall and reinstall won't work properly. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"Ronald van der Pas" | I have not uninstalled it properly.
I have deleted it form the list and I have removed all directories. I do not have third party software that uses it. I uninstalled 3.30 and installed 3.26 again. That works OK. If I uninstall 3.26 and try 3.30 agian then I get the same error. "R. Tipton" | Ok calm down calm down.
Its easy peasy even girls can do it. (and Lambert's) Reboot now go to control panel remove all DBISAM references including the tools. Now start Delphi look under the component link click install packages if Dbisam shows as unchecked click remove, it did tend to hang around in one version I had as well. Now go to tools if any references to Dbisam are still lurking there remove them. Close Delphi start whatever file manager you use and delete all folders/files that held Dbisam. Now the important bit reboot yes reboot the pc and install the 3.30 version. "Ronald van der Pas" | I did not mean to look annoyed with my lines written down one by one.
Sometimes I do that in the assumption that it gives a better view. A will try your suggestions. Thank you. "R.
