Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | André,
<< So the only solution you can provide is a change to version 4? >> No, that's why I said this: "If you have the source code to DBISAM, I can send you the changes necessary to make the extensions .TMP for temporary query result tables." 3.x was released in September 2001, and was frozen in August 2004. These issues came up *after* the 3.x code base was frozen, hence there isn't much we can do. If we start to break our own policy of freezing the code base, then it just opens us up to a big mess of constantly un-freezing the code base to accomodate "one more change". We have tried to be as accomodating as possible in regard to the above option of helping those with the source code make the appropriate changes to work around the issue. This is just one of the value-added benefits of purchasing the source code to the product. << sorry but this sounds like marketing strategy, .. we don't fix this problem in your bought version, buy ne next higher one ^_^ >> I'm sorry, but you obviously don't know us very well. We certainly do not run this business according to marketing strategies. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"J. B. Ferguson" | Good point Bill. It was still early this morning when I posted and I
didn't notice that Andri wasn't the original poster who was having the problem. However, I still stick to my guns that it wasn't fair to even imply that Tim would do that. Tim said it best when he replied, "I'm sorry, but you obviously don't know us very well." -- Regards, Jan Ferguson Roy Lambert wrote: > Jan > > > Simple but powerful question - does Andre actually own a copy of > DBISAM? > > Roy Lambert Roy |

"J. Lee" | Gordon,
You lucky dog! You have probably made the upgrade window (60 days?) for DBISAM V5 by purchasing V4 now. ~J. We also have a version 2 and 3 of our software and are not willing to implement V3-features to the V2-software. But for me it doesn't look like a feature. It's not a bug? It's a feature? I didn't know that, my recherche pointed to finding a solution on Error 11010 and this was the thread I found. > Roy Lambert <roy.lambert@skynet.co.uk> wrote: > Jan > > Simple but powerful question - does Andre actually own a copy of DBISAM? > > Roy Lambert Yes I do, including Source > "Tim Young [Elevate Software]" <timyoung@elevatesoft.com> wrote: > > No, that's why I said this: > >"If you have the source code to DBISAM, I can send you the changes necessary > to make the extensions .TMP for temporary query result tables." this would be very kind, just tell what you need from me |
