<< Thanks for the explanation. However, (just out of curiosity) if we were to do a Query where Type='C' as opposed to "NOT C", wouldn't step 3 still need to occur in this instance too? >> No. Remember, it's scanning the index, which doesn't include deleted records. It's only due to the flip of the bitmap that DBISAM is required to scan the actual records also. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"Adam H." | Morning Tim,
I hope you had a great weekend and this email finds you well. I had a nice one. Went diving on an old 1878 shipwreck down at the coast. Interesting bit of history... > << Thanks for the explanation. Have a great week! Adam. |

Interesting bit of history... >> Wow, that's pretty adventurous stuff. Did you get any photos ? Along this same vein, we're going to start up a "where in the world is..." thing on the web site pretty soon, and it will basically be a situation where we do a drawing every month for a free DBISAM/ElevateDB t-shirt and then ask the winner to send in a picture of themselves wearing the t-shirt in their location (or someplace interesting). We've got some new ElevateDB/DBISAM product logos on the way, along with a new company logo and web site. The new t-shirts are pretty cool also - all black with > 4-color silk-screening. We're also ordering up some cool new black baseball hats and mugs. At any rate, it sure would be cool to get a picture of a DBISAM/ElevateDB t-shirt on a dive. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

"Dave Sellers" | Hey, well why not let that little old in-growing hair just carry on growing-in? Provided Kenneth lives long enough, that deflated football inard may once more be as taut as an erm, football, or indeed the coconut it may more closely resemble by then.. Can anyone come up with a SQL statement that might help poor Kenneth? DELETE FROM SCROTUM WHERE HAIR = 'ingrown' I think I should get out more.... |
