ElevateDB on Compact Framework |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Whew ! I finally got the EDB .NET Data Provider running on Compact
Framework, as you can see from this image: http://www.elevatesoft.com/edbwm6.png It isn't much to look at, but it is pretty cool. The performance isn't too bad, either, considering how weak the microprocessors are compared to a desktop processor. The CF support should be ready for sale early next week. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< - Is there database manager version to run on the pocket pc ? >> No, I'm afraid it's pretty difficult to fit in the kind of functionality that the EDB Manager has on to a Pocket PC device. BTW, I noticed that you asked about a database manager in the Third Party newsgroup. Did you look at the free ElevateDB Manager that comes with ElevateDB yet ? << - Can I write CF application with delphi or I have to use Dev Studio ? >> You have to use Visual Studio right now due to the issue with the Borland System unit being linked into our .NET data provider (this causes a conflict when you try to use the .NET data provider with a Borland .NET app). However, we are planning on doing a FreePascal compiler port, including their WinCE compiler, so you'll be able to use FPC to compile native WinCE/Pocket PC apps. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

But one could use Chrome in VS (now Oxygene). Long live Pascal! http://www.remobjects.com/ -- David Cornelius CorneliusConcepts.com |
