Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Isaac,
<< it has both version work on desktop and another version to work on the mobile >> Ahh, I thought that you were referring to an official MS management studio product. We are close to doing what they provide with that desktop manager already. The only thing missing is a WinCE server, which is something that will come with the FPC/WinCE port. It will allow us to run an ElevateDB Server on WinCE that can be used to host databases and will allow the ElevateDB Manager to remotely design databases, queries, etc. like you can now with the ElevateDB Server. << I am very glad that you are interested to develop this and all the features I mentioned >> We're moving ElevateDB forward as fast as possible. It's only been in existence for a little over a year, and I think we're making fairly good progress. We're now in the second stage of development where all of the "sugar" comes in, such as lots of platforms and advanced features in the EDB Manager. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Isaac,
<< I mean a feature to add and/or update data from previous (elevate db) to current elevate db tables >> Yes, but my question is on your meaning of the words "previous" and "current" - do you mean "previous" as in a previous *ElevateDB* version (1.08 vs. 2.00), or a previous version of *your* database in terms of its structure, etc. ? -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Isaac,
<< any version of elevatedb old or new >> ElevateDB doesn't need table format changes, and any configuration/catalog changes are slip-streamed in from release to release. The configuration and catalogs can read any older format, and will write out the newer format if they are updated. This prevents older EDB applications from using the configuration or catalog after that point, however, so you have to take this into account when mixing EDB versions. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
