Thread F plus semicolon instead of slash in helpfile

The help file of Elevate Web Builder 3.02 Build 1 shows "F;" instead of a "/" slash. Please find attached one example in a screenshot. This happens in various places all over the help file.

It's not that big issue and I hope this forum is the right place to mention this observeration.

Regards
Michael

Hi Michael,

I noticed the same thing.

To ensure Tim sees it in a timely fashion, probably best to report it as an incident. This is one of the selections on the EWB technical support page, or:

https://www.elevatesoft.com/incident?category=ewb
(you'll notice a "Submit an Incident Report" on the right-hand menu)

I'm looking into this, as well as an issue with the Server Manager not showing any nodes.  Whatever the issues are, they'll be fixed ASAP.

I'm in the middle of setting up a new Windows 11 machine and that overflowed from this weekend (took a little longer to copy over my old stuff), so I should have a resolution by Wednesday of this week.

Hello Tim Young,

The server manager, I only do have the internal server enabled, just shows empty nodes but no leaves. I reinstalled the prior version and EWB-IDE could handle the situation. After renaming the severs directory in ...\Users\AppData\... and allowing the IDE or the installer a new directory structure everything worked like a charm. The problem seems to me, that due to not finding any Users, Privileges the IDE simply fails to start a debugging session or deploying does not work in case of server apps.

Once the underlying file structure is created once again one can easily register the applications, deploy and debug.

Just wanted to mention this  to provide additional information and to offer a workaround for those who update and are still busy investigating EWB.

As mentioned in the incident I'd like to praise the debugger you built into the IDE, not just the debugger solely but especially.

Take your time Mr. Tim. Setting up Windows computers has always been pretty similar to a tea ceremony, what changed over time are the reasons for such an experience.

Regards
Michael

This may be the problem I've hit, that new ewb server shows no users or and fails at the HTML/JS file upload.  I've been stuck for days, so thanks for the suggestion.

Hmmm, didn't help in my case.  Thanks for sharing.

Hello all together,

Help file seems to be ok.
I have upgrades to EWB 3.02 Build 2 and the internal 'web'server works as expected, which is no surprise because the server tree is now populated.

Kind regards
Michael

I'd love to share more experience, but honestly I'm  still focused on the first steps concerning EWB and so far I didn't setup a more productive like environment from which I can share real life experience. The symptoms you describe are pretty much the same.

I just came across this access violation. Application  (IDE) couldn't be closed after this access violation showed up. Since I was not in the position to reproduce the situation and the exception didn't show up once again, this observation ist just for the fies. Maybe it's about a good old well known friend. I allowed me add this info since no further action seems to be required, at least from my side there is none.

Overall. Thanks you Tim Young for the quick fix, it's helpful.
