Great, I didn't want to do anything without hearing your opinion.

I will release a $50 US pack in the coming weeks including a year of updates and a growing collection of components.
The initial release will be for the current version of EWB.   Ordering will be through my web site with PayPal/Credit cards.  I'll announce it on the components list when it's ready.

I can see a role as a stopgap relief before Tim has a chance to implement all the components he wants while providing solutions for users in the short term.

The first pack will have Angled TLabel (ie. rotated text) some extensions to TEdit, a Rich Text Editor, coloured theming features and a Color Grid.  I've made them extendable, both by users and by me as I improve the components over time.

Later in the year it will have a graphing component, a tree edit and probably a few others.  They will be free to earlier purchasers.  After the year is up there will be a renewable option at a lower cost, probably $25 a year for updates of those who wish to continue.

All components will be pure EWB, not dependant on external JavaScript libraries. There will be a PDF document updated each release.   The license will be simple - use as you please with no additional fees or royalties but do not distribute my source code or PDF to others.

I will announce them in the components list when they are ready.

I have no idea how popular this will be.

If anyone has questions or suggestions feel free to Email me at ErickEngelke@gmail.com.

Not sure what that is, but a tree list or something would be good. The one I hacked together is quite complex, but something fairly virtual would be very good.

I say treeview, treelist and treeedit all interchangeably, probably tree edit is not even a thing.
I wish I could blame this on my poor English, but that's my best language.

Tim,

/*
It will not be 100% necessary anymore, at least for the back-end stuff.  I'm also working on native Delphi components that will allow you to work with EWB datasets in native Delphi desktop applications.  So, eventually an EWB 3 web server will be able to serve as an application server for both web and desktop applications.
*/

Will Delphi 7 be supported as the compiler for the desktop application to access the EWB 3 web server?

I'll have to see, but most likely it will be limited to XE and above, due to the various dependencies in the EWB codebase.

I appreciate that offer.

I've posted an update in the components message board with a link to a sample application showing their use.

When I started these controls we had to worry about old versions of IE and whatnot.  But I decided to make a break with tradition and do everything in HTML5 only and it seems to work on every computer I test, because browser security flaws forced vendors to send out updates to their buggy browsers.

The ones that stumped me the most was the HTML editor.  I see from the EWB files that Tim has also started on one but didn't complete it.  Mine is functional but I plan to revisit it to make it nicer as I figure out more stuff.  In the absence of a better solution, it will suffice for most people.

I plan to work on the Graph component too, adding more types of graphs.

I've not been particularly happy with my TMS subscription, so I cancelled it a few months back.  They initially saved me some time, but no one uses all the components they make.

An all access subsciprition is EU 1495  per developer per year, and that's in addition to Delphi.  There are companies that will pay that,, but most won't.
