# 510 Incorrect Header Corrupt Error Message Being Triggered Upon Opening a Table
Now i am ONLY using Delphi 5 with v. 1.18 and get this error which does not give me much to go on.

DBISAM Engine Error # 8961Header information corupt in data file.

This error message was a false error message that was being generated because DBISAM was not properly checking the header for corruption during an open. Normally this error message would only be seen while trying to open a table during a large amount of appends or inserts occurring on that table.
