# 1232 Joining More Than One Table in Crystal Reports 8 Causes a Syntax Error When Running the Query

I keep getting an ODBC error: DBISAM Engine Error (11949 SQL Error) Table name expected after FROM keyword instead found '('

I attempted to create a report using the Report Expert and was trying to link 3 or more tables together when I got the above error. I have also tried adding a third table during the report design process, but to no avail.

Comments Comments and Workarounds
Crystal was adding a bunch of extra parentheses around the joins and DBISAM didn't like that. The workaround was to manually edit the query in Crystal to get rid of the parentheses.
