# 1723 Random Concurrent Updates Mixed with Reads Can Cause AV During Searches and Reads
It is possible that during reads, a session will get an AV if it detects changes to the table and must restart the read process after refreshing its buffers.

Basically the engine was trying to un-pin a buffer that was already freed due to the change detection process of freeing all buffers during a read.
