# 1791 DBSYS Not Correctly Showing BLOB Compression in MDI Browse Window Structure Tab
With dbsys.exe if you open a table with a compressed blob field, although the 'Details' column says 'Yes' when you view the details of the field the compression slider always shows no compression. If however you use the alter table menu option then the same column details shows the correct compression setting.
