# 3564 64-bit DBISAM Database Server Not Starting Properly as a Windows Service

We've tried to install the 64bit server service but it fails to start ... it comes up with 'The service is not responding to the control function.'

I've tried this on a couple of different boxes and it does the same on each one... it installs ok but will not start.

Comments

There was an ANSI <> Unicode issue with the code that was passing the service name to the service control API functions.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 7/3/2012 in version 4.33 build 2
