# 3601 64-bit DBISAM Database Server Cannot Be Started Twice as a Windows Service
Just a quick query with regard to the 64 bit version of the DBISAM ...should you still be able to run 2 versions on the same server? I have been running with one on the test server fine but when I install a second instance it will not start.

The problem was with the mutex name being used - it was using Unicode strings with an ANSI Windows API call.
