# 3725 DBISAM Database Server Still Experiencing Access Violation When Trying to Remove Dead Sessions

We are seeing disconnected sessions from hours ago in the DBISAM Database Server, even though our server settings should clean up such dead sessions within minutes.

We seem to have this problem often, and sometimes trying to clear it with “disconnect” or “remove” button on the status tab results in an error that the session can’t be locked. If the session is that old, shouldn’t it be dead and have all the locks removed? There seems to be no way to rid the server of that dead connection unless we reboot it.

Comments Comments
This was an outstanding issue that was being reported by several customers. The problem was related to how databases were being freed during dead session removal/freeing.
