# 4038 DBISAM Database Server Included with 4.38 Version of VCL Client-Server with Source Product Incorrect

There is something weird with DBISAM 4.38 build 2.

The problem appears to happen in both 32 and 64 bits.

dbsrvr /install // OK
net start dbsrvr // OK

I know I have to stop a service BEFORE uninstall but....

dbsrvr /uninstall
dbsrvr /uninstall

After the second command, and error is shown but the service is still there (in the task manager I see "DBISAM Database Server (Mirror)" and for each uninstall I try it starts another process.

Comments

The version that shipped with 4.38 was a special mirror server that should not have been included. It was accidentally included when a "mirror" directory prefix was removed from the build information, and the result was that the target database server was overwritten with the mirror version in the build system.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 4/15/2014 in version 4.39 build 1
