# 3356 Row Value Comparisons Not Working Properly If Row Values Contain NULLs

I'm not absolutely sure, the standard is not easy to interpret, but I think the comparison predicates are not working according to the standard with row values. For example, if you have a table "Tbl" with the flowing rows, then the following query returns the rows:

(1,NULL)
(1,1)
(2,1)

My understanding is that (1,NULL) shouldn't be in the result set.

Table:

k          x1    x2
-----+------+------
1        1      NULL
2        1      1
3        1      2
4        2      1

Query:

SELECT x1, x2 FROM Tbl WHERE (x1, x2) <>  (1,2)

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 12/8/2010 in version 2.05 build 1
