# 4591 Internal Temporary Tables Store Causing Intermittent Lock Errors

We are receiving the following error, and do not know what it means:

ElevateDB Error #300 Cannot lock the store __Temp_Files in the configuration EDBConfig for shared access

I have not seen this error until 2 weeks ago. Since then it has arrived 2 times and all we can do is restart the entire server.
We have more EDB services using the same catalog file.

Comments

The internal temporary tables store was not being properly marked as temporary, and so was being locked by the lock manager using invalid lock offsets that would sometimes conflict with existing locks.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 11/5/2017 in version 2.26 build 7
