# 4912 ElevateDB Server Not Starting Properly When Missing the Trace File Name Configuration Entry

I run the edbsrvr as a service and on restart and trying to connect the server rejected the connection. Even from edbmgr. I reinstated the 2.37 b1 edbsrvr and all is fine.

The workaround is to make sure that the "Trace File Name" configuration entry is populated in the edbsrvr.ini file.
