# 3984 Cannot Properly Select an Item in a TComboBox Control After Deleting Selected Text
Try this please:

New project (visual)
Drop a TComboBox
Click Items property and type, for example, 2014 (just one item)
Press F9 - Run
Press backspace to clear the combobox content
Click the down arrow and try to select the an item

The same behavior on IE, Chrome and Fox
