# 227 Extending Number of Fields in Data Files Past 255 Fields Causes Problems
Unable to extend DBISAM table record beyond 255 fields without having initialization problems with attached edit components.

Couldn't reproduce the problem here, but a quick look at the data file revealed that the internal field offsets were all 0. Added code to the repair functionality in DBISAM to fix this problem, repaired the data file in question, and everything was fine. At this point we are unsure of whether this was a bug in 1.03 or earlier versions or not.
