# 328 Using InfoPower Filter Dialog Causes Access Violation

Using Infopower Filter Dialog and filtering on a string field. An access violation at 000000 etc occurs with the following sequence.

Open filter Dialog and apply a filter to a string field - filter works.
Clear the filter, either with filter dialog or methods - filter clears.
Open filter dialog and apply same filter as above - access violation.

It is very repeatable and there is no fancy code except executing the filter dialog.
