# 1151 Reconnecting to an Inactive Session Doesn't Work Due to an AV in the Server on Automatic Re-Connects

While testing remote connections with ODBC, I was also running a remote version of SQL TestBench to compare results. Suddenly I got an 'Cannot establish connection to server' error. Opening the dbsrvr window, I noticed 2 disconnected sessions. After closing down the two client applications and then closing the server, I got a Windows fatal error. When closing the Windows error dialog, I got an AV in module DBSRVR.EXE at 5245435C.

Comments

Problem was caused by an improper typecast in the re-stitching of callbacks during an automatic re-connect.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 7/11/2002 in version 3.12 build 1
