# 1204 UNC Path Names Being Truncated So That First Backslash is Missing

Version 3.16 appears to have a problem opening a local database via a UNC name. Opening the same physical table via a mapped drive letter works correctly.

Note: clients running Win98 & (primarily) Win2K, shared database on an NT 4 server. Problem occurs in DBSYS utility & compiled D5 apps. The error message indicates only a single backslash before the server name. Editing the DBSYS.INI and placing 3 slashes before one of the MRU entries allowed access.

This was the same issue as the Database Name Already Exists incident report for 3.16 and was fixed at the same time.
