# 1594 Encryption and MD5 Hash Code Can Possibly Cause a Lockup on an AMD Machine Due to Integer Overflows

Using encrypted tables on a machine with an AMD processor can cause the machine to lockup. Also, the dbisamcr.pas unit contains a lot of code that generates integer overflow and range check errors.

Comments

We have no other reports of 4.x having problems with AMD machines, however that could simply be because no one is using encrypted tables in such an environment.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 5/2/2004 in version 4.06 build 1
