# 1801 Filters Do Not Work When Issued From 4.06 or Higher Clients To a 4.05 Or Lower Database Server

When I installed V4.08 and recompiled my application, the filters stopped working on any tables that were filtered. The problem turned out to be that I had V4.05 of the server running. The problem went away when I replaced the V4.05 server with V4.08.

This could be an issue where somebody installs the newer server, e.g. if installing the ODBC package, and connects to it with an application compiled with the older version of the DBISAM Engine.

Comments

This problem could also cause issues with live queries that contained calculated expressions.

Resolution

Fixed Problem on 8/2/2004 in version 4.10 build 1
