# 1857 IS NOT NULL on Indexed Columns Causes Incorrect Results

'is not null' does not work on char/varchar columns that are indexed. Instead of filtering out null rows it leaves them in.

- not (s is null), or
- remove index

create table T (s char(1), primary key(s) );
insert into T values('A');
insert into T values(null);
select * from T
 where s is not null
